After qualifying for the 2019 URC, the team spent the weekend preparing our rover for competition! We field tested our completed robotic arm and three finger end effector, new tread, autonomous systems and science drill to ensure we are on track to take home a top spot in Utah.
We have just received the news that Nova Rover Team have been accepted into the 2019 University Rover Challenge! We will be travelling to the Mars Desert Research Station to compete on the world stage against 35 of the best teams for the title of the world's best student built Mars rover.
Our rover will be pushed to its limits as we compete for the title of the world's best student built Mars rover, designed to assist future manned missions on Mars.

A huge thankyou to the team at DeepNeuron for helping develop our rovers new AI vision system! The system can detect tennis balls in all lighting and conditions, where our rover will then drive itself autonomously towards the tennis ball as part of the requirement for the upcoming competition.

After months of work, stress, testing and more testing, Nova Rover Team is finally ready to unveil our 2019 competition Mars rover in our System Acceptance Review (SAR) for the University Rover Challenge! This is a critical milestone showcasing the capabilities of our rover and proving we are ready for competition in May. Of 84 teams from around the world, only 36 will be invited to Utah.
